Exciting Things Are Coming

These next couple months are very exciting for me.  Not only are the holidays coming up but I've been offered a couple great opportunities.

I'm super excited to be working with Dionel of Dionel Photography again.  She has a boudoir shoot coming up and she contacted me to do the makeup.  We've got a fun and flirty concept we're putting together and I can't wait to see the final outcome!

I also have the opportunity to work with Riese LauriatShe is a spectacular makeup artist and I couldn't be more stoked to be assisting her!  I don't know what she has in store but I can't wait!!

Thank you ladies, again, for allowing me to be apart of what you love to do!  I feel very blessed!

Rogers Jewelers November Feature

Big thanks to Katie for once again allowing me to do what I love!  To say I love this girl would be an understatement.  Katie has become one of my good friends and one of my favorites to do makeup on.  She's a double whammy; beautiful on the outside and stunning on the inside (try to hate her, it's impossible!)!

We did a shoot with Rogers Jewelers for their November product feature.  This is a preview of what we did.  I should have the rest on my Facebook Alexa Leach MUA in a couple weeks.

 Stay fabulous!

Mane Event (formally known as Hairball)

Happy Birthday to me!!!!!  On October 21st was Mane Event at The B.O.B. which meant I got to celebrate my birthday doing something I absolutely love!!!  As I mentioned in an earlier post I did the makeup for the hair competition.  I thought Ashley did an AMAZING job on Katie's hair!!!  Here's a preview of some of the pictures.

The 3 of us :0)

Most of that is Katie's hair!

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this picture of Katie!  Also, really love this wall!!  There will be more pictures to come utilizing this wall!!!

My Muse Laurie

Laurie is one of my favorite people to do makeup on and photograph.  She has such a sweet personality and softness to her.  She's always willing to help me and let me try new techniques or color combinations on her.  Here are a few of the pictures from our most recent photo shoot.  To see more you can visit my Facebook Alexa Leach MUA

The beautiful jewelry used for this shoot was provided by Rogers Jewelers.  I try to use Rogers as much as possible.  I love their jewelry and their employees are the best!

A big thanks to Jimmy John's at Celebration Village for letting us take some pictures at their location!

This is one of my FAV pictures from this shoot!  Laurie has such natural talent for modeling!!  The beautiful purple shirt, lace tank and fingerless gloves were provided by The J Salon (yes we have a boutique too!!)

I just had to take a picture using the carpet from Celebration Cinema North!!  It was too fabulous to pass up!

Crazy October!

October has been a crazy month so far! It's been a roller coaster of emotions.  I have entered a competition with a fellow co-worker and I am very excited!  We (well rather she) will be participating in this year's The Mane Event (formally known as Hair Ball).  Ashley will be doing something amazing with the hair and I will get to do the makeup.  I have been going crazy with ideas and with less than a week left I feel like my brain might explode!!!  I can't wait to post some of the pix!  Til then, stay fabulous!!

Welcome

Thank you for stopping by my blog.  My name is Courtney Leach & I'm a Makeup Artist at The J Salon in Grand Rapids, MI.

My love for makeup began at a young age while participating in beauty pagents (nothing like Toddlers & Tiaras!).  The different looks that could be created by changing a color or technique was very intriguing.  My passion for color intensified after high school when I began to experiment with both color & technique in various jobs and on friends.

I enjoy creating looks that are out of the ordinary as well as a beautiful wedding look.

I've created this blog to showcase some of my work.  I hope you enjoy what you see!
